About Me
Hello! My name is Kara Jayne and I am a native speaking English language teacher from Melbourne, Australia. I am currently based in Toulouse, France where I teach English as a second language in a variety of settings both online and in person.
I have been teaching English as a second/foreign language since 2013 when I completed my Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) training . Since then my work has taken me all over the world, from Australia to the UK, Italy, Vietnam, Japan, Colombia and a number of cities in France. I love sharing my language and culture with those interested in learning!
I have a bachelor of Arts degree from Swinburne University in Australia and a Masters in Education specialising in TESOL from Charles Sturt University in Australia.
My Approach
I am available for one-on-one or small group classes via Zoom or in person (Toulouse only). My classes are always tailored to suit your individual needs and preferred learning style. My aim is to help you achieve your language learning goals in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
My teaching style is based on a communicative approach to language learning with a strong focus on fluency and correcting pronunciation.
